Diodes 2013 Asia Pacific Distributor Conference

     On August 22, 2013, Diodes’ first Asia Pacific distributor conference after its acquisition of BCD took place in Shanghai. Chen Chunlin, sales director of Chung Da, and Miss He, product manager, attended the conference.

     Diodes achieved about $800 million in sales in 2012. The sales from Asia Pacific, the main market for Diodes, accounted for 82% of its total sales, while its sales from mainland China amounted to about $200 million (including BCD), concentrated on consumer products, communication, PCs, and industrial control. Diodes’ power products are widely used in power solutions and most of their materials are for general purposes. Recently, it acquired PAM and BCD, thus enriching its product series, including analog circuits, ACD/DC, DC/DC, PWM battery chip, standard linear & logic, power management, Schottky &SBR, and MOSFET. 

     Attendees of this conference included more than 60 distributors from Japan and South Korea in Asia Pacific. Mr. Chen from Chung Da held a talk with GM Keung Fung, Diodes’ head of China sales and he introduced Chung Da’s advantages and target markets. Diodes thought highly of Chung Da in its promotion of the AC-DC solution, hoping that Chung Da would continue its effort in Diodes promotion for greater achievement.
