Kinetis® KV1x-75 MHz,  Entry-level 3ph FOC / Sensorless Motor Control MCUs based on Arm® Cortex®-M0+
The Kinetis® KV1x MCU family is the entry point of the V series. Built upon the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core running at 75 MHz with hardware square root and divide capability, it delivers a 27% increase in performance in math-intensive applications versus comparable MCUs, allowing it to target BLDC as well as more computationally demanding PMSM motors. Additional features include integrated FlexCAN, dual 16-bit analog-to-digital controllers (ADCs) sampling at up to 1.2 mega samples per second (MS/s) in 12-bit mode, multiple motor control timers, up to 128 KB of flash memory and a comprehensive enablement suite from NXP® and third-party resources, including reference designs, software libraries and motor configuration tools.
KV3x Sensorless Motor Control
Kinetis® KV3x-100–120 MHz,  Advanced 3ph FOC / Sensorless Motor Control MCUs based on Arm® Cortex®-M4
The Kinetis® KV3x family of MCUs delivers a high-performance solution for BLDC, PMSM and ACIM motor control applications.
Built upon the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core running at 100 or 120 MHz with DSP instruction set and floating point unit, the KV3 devices feature dual 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) sampling at up to 1.2 mega samples per second (MSPS) in 12-bit mode, multiple motor control timers, 64 to 512 KB of flash memory and a comprehensive enablement suite from proprietary and third-party resources, including reference designs for ACIM, BLDC and PMSM motor control built on NXP®'s. Embedded Software libraries and motor configuration tools.
KV4x High Performance Motor
Kinetis KV4x-168 MHz, High Performance Motor / Power Conversion MCUs based on Arm® Cortex®-M4
The Kinetis® KV4x family of MCUs is a high-performance solution offering exceptional precision, sensing and control for some of the most demanding applications in motor and power control. Built upon the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core running at 168 MHz with DSP and floating point unit, it features advanced high-speed and high-accuracy peripherals such as high-resolution pulse-width modulation (PWM) with 312 picosecond resolution, dual 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) sampling at 4.1 mega samples per second (MSPS), a total of 30 PWM channels for support of multi-motor systems and dual FlexCAN modules. To maximize execution performance a 128-bit wide flash interface is utilized, providing best in class execution from the embedded flash memory. The Kinetis KV4x MCU family is supported by a comprehensive enablement suite from NXP® and third-party resources including reference designs, software libraries and motor configuration tools.
KV5x Power Conversion
Kinetis® KV5x-240 MHz, Motor Control and Power Conversion, Ethernet, MCUs based on Arm® Cortex®-M7
The Kinetis® KV5x family of MCU is a high-performance solution offering exceptional precision, sensing and control targeting industrial motor control, industrial drives and automation and power conversion applications. The Kinetis KV5x MCU is built on the Arm® Cortex®-M7 core running at 240 MHz with single precision floating point unit. It features high-resolution pulse-width modulation (PWM) with 260 picosecond resolution, 4x 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) sampling at 5 mega samples per second (MS/s), 3 FlexCAN modules, optional Ethernet communications and comprehensive enablement suite from NXP® and third-party resources including reference designs, software libraries and motor configuration tools.
